Wow, great idea. Thanks! I only tested the outlet but have no idea if the 117vac is dropping. When it comes back it goes on the variac.

Panel works fine here in the shop. Runs for weeks with routine power on/off cycles. Returned to owners home, started blinking 10 times again. Brought back to shop, runs fine for weeks. Owner insisted the main PCB be replaced because they "learned about this problem on the interweb". Board replaced, still no problem running for weeks in shop. Within a day of returning to owners home, unit blinks ten times without anything hooked up for a source (power outlet tested for correct wiring).
