Picked up an HP a630n for free with bad caps. The CPU heatsink was completely clogged. The 4x1000mf caps are bulging. I assume these are the VRM? What really bothers me is one of the ferrite donuts with the bright copper wound around it, 3 turns x 4 positions. On one of the four, the copper is black and the donut appears to be broken or brittle. Since all this is right up against the heat sink, I figure that contributed to the failure.
