  • Re: P4c800-E deluxe Issues.

Not to hijack the topic or grave dig, But what you said sounds like the same issues with the stock PSU in the HP D530 small form factor computer, the PSU in them was prone to blow up after long term use because of the same issue (since they are a business computer they are on all the time). There is videos on youtube showing them popping. Thats why i bought a Antec 300 case and a Antec basiq 500w PSU for it. all is well so far....

That would be the thing to try, it wouldent hurt. Rolling back doesnt always work though, but if it does it would solve the issue (if its a software issue). But from it BSOD all the time it could be a software issue or a hardware issue....

  • Re: Burning issues. No idea what is up.

my drive brands of choice is Western digital and Pioneer using Memorex media so far for the past 6 years. i have yet to see any one of my WD drives fail (that includes my used ones and new ones as well). not saying they never fail cause they do, and my luck with the brands of drives i use will run out eventually and get a bad drive or one that will go bad quickly.

i have read around that the Pioneer DVR-112 and 115 had issues with not burning (but that could be because of the media used or out of date firmware or a mix of both)....

  • Re: Sony DVD player no longer spins

i had a dreamcast that had a brush in the spindle motor flipped backwards wile i was playing it, it sounded horrible before it went to a complete stop. i did dive in and fixed it. it looks like it was a manufacturing defect with the brush then it just happening by chance. what it looked like was one of the leads of the brush was broken which cut into the pads on the spindle and eventually caught the brush and flipped it.

i eventually replaced it with a new motor. but the motor i repaired stil worked but wasn't aligned correctly...

  • Re: A question about a Antec Basiq 500w PSU

the sticker says the same thing the site says that i posted voltage and amps on about my PSU. i posted and compared stats of a PSU from ATI's site which i chose the one with the closest watts to mine like PCBONEZ said to do, and see if it comes close or matches (which just has the same amps on the 12v rails just minus a rail), yes mine is lacking 50w but it also lacks a 3rd 12v rail (probably why the extra 50w). but both provide 18a each on both PSU's rails.

if that other PSU with its 3 12v rails at 18a...

    yea its a P4 3.2ghz HT 800mhz FSB northwood, 8x AGP, SATA 500gb HDD, ATA Pioneer DVR-110D, 2x 1gb GSKILL PC3200.

the 3850 i am looking at is a AGP card. the only thing is that they dont have this PSU in the compatable PSU list. the 3850 should give me a little more boost then this 680o GT does

  • A question about a Antec Basiq 500w PSU

    Hello all

I am wondering if a Antec Basic 500W PSU would handle a Radeon HD 3850's power requirement.

cause right now i have a Antec Basiq 500W PSU and a 6800 GT video card (a HD 3850 should be a bit better then the current 6800GT i have now). i dont need dual cards or anything

  • Re: pop-up issue

i use Avast Pro and man i like it, its always cought bad sites trying to download infected crap (usually from googling around for hard to find pinouts and from casual searches from google) i am so far infection free for like 4 months now. before i used avg and i always got infected eventually.

i dont know whats up with google lately but its been coming up with a bunch of crap that has nothing to do with what your searching about ( altho the link info on google shows diffrent)

  • Re: Best Tualatin Socket 370 Motherboard?

it really depends on what you want to do with it.

there is dual socket 370 mobos with dual lans but no agp (pci and isa only), but they are around $90. or you could get one with a single slot with agp for $50.

i own a Pioneer DVR-110D, i have had it for a few years. the only media brand i use is memorex (for CD-R/RW, DVD-/+R/RW, DVD-/+ DL) i have burnt hundreds of disks without a single frisbie. i have put this drive thew hell (burnt 13 DVD disks back to back without fail, burnd 5 DVD DL disks back to back without fail. so far this drive is solid and still quiet. its also running the latest firmware. i dont know about your drive, they did address a few burn issues with some brands that would cause overheating.

    that...

  • Re: Just bought a ASRock P4i65G motherboard

So just wait till they start showing signs before getting them replaced.no problem in just waiting.

i only hope this board will be better then that HP D530 mobo (they both use the same chipset) from what i have seen this mobo is made by ASUS for HP. The layout of these boards look almost identical, sept the HP mobo had a few extra ports and was aranged different.

the only thing i am hoping for is the Ram and the 3.2ghz CPU will work like they are supose to (unlike the mess i ran into with the HP mobo)....

  • Re: Just bought a ASRock P4i65G motherboard

hey atleast it gives some sort of option. it should be able to handle the GSKILL 2.6v - 2.8v requirement. i am definatly not looking to OC i just want it to run the hardware i have how its supose to run (unlike in my D530).

  • Just bought a ASRock P4i65G motherboard

    Hello all im Frank

this is my first post here. i just bought a ASRock P4i65G motherboard ( it hasnt arrived yet) but when it does i am thinking on having it recapped (since they like to use mostly crap-caps)

since i dont have it yet i dont have a clue on what to replace. it should be here on wednesday or thursday.

but when i get it i am going to need to know what cap brands does everyone recomend ? (i was thinking on going with Rubycon)

what i was going to do was take it to a shop to have its caps replaced. cause i am not that good yet...
