  • Re: Acer S271HL bid LED monitor goes partly/fully dark, flashlight shows image: SOLUT

This is very good information. I have a number of Benq GL2250 led monitors which have a similar fault. One or more led strings will go dark - after some time of operation, then sometimes they all go out completely. I have measured the low side of one of the led strings and find that when it goes dim, the voltage goes up - i.e. less current flow. However in this case, there are basically no via's in use, so I am thinking that it is the MP3394 that is the problem.

  • Re: Dell 2407WFPb Monitor - Bad Cap

Hi. I was given one of these dead 2407WFP monitors before Christmas. At the time I worked out that F601, R670, C605 and Q651 had failed. I was able to get the fuse, 0.22ohm 2W fusible resistor and 2SK3502 mosfet from WES but had to wait and get the 120uF/450V capacitor from Element14. Anyway, I didn't get around to it until a few days ago, and after replacing these parts, the monitor still has no power, but no bang also. I am getting voltage on the main C605 capacitor, so that is ok. After reading through most of this thread, I went through again,...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hi All,

John here from downunder. I have been playing with electronics for a long time, but have been working mainly in IT. Still have my first Commodore 64, although it has stopped working, but have another functional one and have an original 1541 disk drive still in original box. I just came on to this forum because of a Toshiba Satellite A200 that came in for me to look at, and found your great thread on these laptop problems.
