Re: Insignia - NS-42E570A11 intermittent backlight flashing
Ok, so I had some time finally to mess around with the tv. I set it up, turned it on and gave it a good input (HDMI). TV worked just fine and with a great picture. After a few minutes of warming up, it started flashing again for about a minute or two. long enough for me to play with the brightness and backlight brightmess settings. Interestingly, as I changed the backlighlight brightness all the way down, it didnt make a difference. When I turned them all the way up, it stopped the blinking.
So next day I...

Insignia - NS-42E570A11 intermittent backlight flashing
Hello again!
I have an Insignia TV, model: NS-42E570A11, that has a great working picture and inputs on it, however, after being on and displaying a picture for a few minutes, then the backlight will intermittently start to blink on and off. There is no set rate at which it flashes on and off. The picture (LCD) display still looks great, it is just the backlight that is blinking off and on (not the picture signal going in and out).
I haven't had a chance/time to open it up and measure any voltages yet, but wanted to post what I had in case anyone already might recognize...

Re: Vizio e470i-a0 - no HDMI inputs and image ghosting
I already replaced the LED strips (those were bad beforehand), and now the backlighting is working. It was not before. That is not my issue here. I am not sure I will be able to take a picture clear enough to be able to see the ghosting on the black screen I am talking about. I can try.
Not sure I would describe it as slow motion. When any picture (non-black) is being displayed, i.e. the tv menu or the "No signal found" window, it displays just fine. Colors, resolution, etc all good. But as soon as you...

Vizio e470i-a0 - no HDMI inputs and image ghosting
Hello again friends!
I have a Vizio e470i-a0. When I received the unit, had no backlighting at all, but tv menu image could be seen with flashlight. After some quick research and testing, found problem to be bad LED strips. Ordered and replaced no problem. Backlighting is now working fine, connected an HDMI input (I use my Chromecast for testing tvs) and TV is not recognizing any HDMI inputs. Also, anytime the screen displays a picture (i.e. menus, "no source found", etc), the picture is displaying fine, but the images are leaving what I would call ghosting on the black...

Re: Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
Update: Ordered new main board (ensuring the correct part #'s as I had done before). This time it worked. TV repaired and works like a champ. Thank you all for the assistance. This confirmed that I did get a bad main board the first time. I was able to return it for a refund.

Re: Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
Ok, another quick question. Looking at the part number of the main board, i understand there are multiple versions/compatibility part numbers for the same model number. I am trying to better understand the part number itself. The suspected main board in my tv now is "E13090429-0A01375". When i search online for a new main board all I can find is the part numbers listed by the first half of the part number (i.e. "E13090429") they leave off the rest of it. Is the rest of this part number ("-0A01375") important...

Re: Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
Ok, just performed the simple 1k ohm resistor test. With the resistor between 5VSB and ON/OFF (BL-ON), the backlights come on steady and stay on. So no problem there. Checking the contact that i removed, and there is still no voltage there. So, am I correct in assuming that the main board is supposed to supply this 5VDC BL-ON when all other conditions are met and this might mean the main board is bad?
The main board I ordered matches everything part#-wise and model-wise, so not sure why it didnt work, other than they just...

Re: Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
Ok, so I put in the new main board that I ordered and strangely now I get no voltages other than the 5VSB. everything else is 0. Still no standby light and no response from the power button. Put the original main board back in and I get the voltages I had posted above. (The voltages I had above were with the original main board as well).
Not sure if I ordered a faulty main board or if it is actually correct that it shows no other voltages, and there is something else wrong in the TV as well.

Re: Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
here are the pics of the rear of the TV and the front of the power supply board. Also the rear portion that has the connector pin labels. Cant get a pic of the entire back. card has a stupid plastic protector on it.
STBY (PS-ON) - 4.86 VDC does not change when power button pressed. Nothing changes when buttons pressed.
Will swap main boards again tomorrow, it is late tonight. Then will post findings....

Hitachi LCD, LE40K507, no standby light
Hello, I have tried to trouble shoot and have thrown some parts at it, but I am not having any luck. I have a Hitachi, model LE40K507, LCD tv. The discrepancy is: TV is plugged in, and nothing. No standby light on the front, no response from power button, nothing. I have changed both a power supply board and the main board. (I have not yet changed the digital board, aka PC board unit) I open it up and measure the voltages from the power supply board while plugged in. They are as follows:
ON/OFF - 0.06 VDC
ADJ - 4.95 VDC
GND - N/A (No pin)
12V...

Re: Sharp LC-60LE600U won't stay on
Seems these are either the same part or a compatible part. 7030PKG 68EA L-TYPE, 7030PKG 68EA R-TYPE (left and right strips)

Re: Sharp LC-60LE600U won't stay on
Hi! I know this is an older thread, but wanted to share my bit of experience I learned with this same tv. I also just came into possession of a LC-600LE600U, Sharp 60" LED backlit LCD tv. This TV has the same problem. You plug it in, the sharp logo at the bottom front turns on for about 8 or so seconds, the backlights try to fire on for about 1 second, then turn off, and a few second later the sharp logo goes out.
Testing the voltages on the power supply board with the correct jumpers yields good results. Good standby voltage,...

Re: JVC Model: JLC37BC3002 - Backlight not working
No, it is definitely blue LED lights. the one under the PS/Inverter board I can actually see the when I look under it. The light in the top corner is the same light and they both light and fade out the same together. Plus if there were arcing and such, i think I would hear it and it would look a lot different lol....

Re: JVC Model: JLC37BC3002 - Backlight not working
Ok, I was able to test using 3 resistors. Using a 1K resistor for each one, I jumpered 5.1V to INV_ON, 5.1 to REMOTE_ON, and 5.1 to VBR_B. I get the same as before. Once power is applied, all I get is the blue LED lights come on a few seconds then fade out. No backlight. I read the voltages, all the same as listed the most recent time above, onl difference is the VBR_B voltage being about 0.68V.
Since you mentioned it should be above 1V, I used a lower ohm resistor (470 ohm) and tried again. This time VBR_B voltage...
