toshiba 50hp66 flickering
i have a toshiba 50hp66 turns on stays on flickering 4to5 times a second has sound during the flickering i can make out whats on screen . i thought it might be scaler board changed no luck same issue .any suggestions . thanks for any help -

I have a Phillips 52pfl3204d that when you turn on Phillips banner comes on the screen for 2seconds then tv shuts off. checked for blown caps all appear good . I seem to think its the tcon board .. problem started when hdmi port 1 went out connected to port 3 worked fine for short time then sound went out . then picture . I get the Phillips banner at the bottom of screen then it shuts off . any help or suggestions -

I guess i'll try to figure this out again ; the set when plugged in trys to power on. front panel light is green . logic board d15 lites up d18 lites up d1 lites up d2 lites up then clicks and shuts down . then 10 seconds starts the cycle again. i have found that if I disconnect the plug from psu to the av board it does not shut down . if I only unplug from logic to scaler board .still clicks off. can an av board cause this problem???Leave a comment:

I have noticed if I disconnect the av from the psu voltage stays constant and does not click off. I also just disconnected scaler board only still voltage drop in va and vs resulting in clicking off then trys to restart. can av board cause this?Leave a comment:

I don't mean to jump in . I am having the exact problem your having I have a 50HP66 also; changed psu to no avail . voltages at va and vs dropping and clicking off. I've tried to disconnect each board one at a time no luck . I now found if I disconnect the av from psu it doesn't shut down . hope this might help . if I find out what it is i'll let you know thanksLeave a comment:

yes I had done that and its the same .I also noticed that the control board lge pdp050121model50x3 led's d1 not lit d2 lit d15 lit d16 not d17 not d18 lit . if that's any help I know at one point they were all lit . also I checked the model no. with the back off label is pdp50x3 and on the outside case it is pdp50hp66 should have checked closer thanksLeave a comment:

I changed the psu and now the va and vs voltages are on the money. its a rebuilt board. now the green lites on and wont turn on or off the screen is faintly on but buttons nor remote work .no picture or sound ???Leave a comment:

its again on off shut down after 4hr. came on shut down came on shut down . then it about 5times. then it came back on and working fine .been about 10 min .and on off again??????Leave a comment:

I have no idea what the %*&) is going on ? I plugged the boards back in turn on , the voltages are steady va 61.2 and vs 195.6 the sets on and working for how long I don't know????? their has to be a reason.Leave a comment:
