    whoa geez that's some serious stuff for me to do lol. I will give it a shot. Thanks a lot for the explanation! The model I have is LNS4041DX/XAA. It's a 40" Samsung LCD from 2006. We paid so much for it back then I'd hate to just let it go because of this seemingly small problem!

    Hi there,

    I'm having the same problem.

    I have the model LNS4041DX and I opened it up and replaced what seemed like two bad capacitors with 25V 1000uF Nichicon capacitors. Nothing on them said ESR, so I have no idea if they're any good or not, but the TV did not turn on and the clicking continued. I had never soldered before.

    I'm in Canada and Samsung will not replace or help even though this model is under the class action lawsuit in the USA.
