Asus a8r32-mvp deluxe
Dunno if anyone else has this mobo, but I got one with one swollen cap by the blue pci-e slot.Done some web searches haven't found any other instances of bad caps with this board. If anyone has this particular board check it closely.

Re: asus a8r32-mvp deluxe, one bad cap?
Damn, thanks.Didn't figure this problem was still ongoing on "newer" mobo's.Older p3 and p4 mobo's and athlons I was aware of.Haven't heard of any probs with this particular mobo and yet I appear to have the only one that does, lol.Well I'm going to do a quick build with it using spare parts and get it working, then I guess I'll take it apart and try to repair it,a friend of mine has replaced caps in the past,I'll get him to take a shot at it.Thanks.
P.S -which brand/type cap should I use to replace them?Last edited by 4thman; 03-07-2011, 12:23 PM.

asus a8r32-mvp deluxe,one bad cap?
Hi,
I received this mobo second hand,it came from a working system with no issues.Upon closer inspection it has one slightly swollen cap by the blue pci-e slot,it's located at the end on the pci-e slot towards the vid card clip. The top of the cap is KZG,6.3v,820uf.This mobo has many of these caps, ugh. What is the purpose of this cap?How long can it last? And will all the caps need to be replaced? Thanks.
