    Hey budm,
I have not put it back together yet. I am by no means an electronics technician, just a general contractor who usually uses big hammers to fix things. I know enough to probably be dangerous! Dad was an electrician after WWII and i learned basic electricity from him and i had an Aunt who worked for Bendix making submarine radios in the 50 and 60's and left me her toolbox, but at best i am a researcher who knows how to tinker. i will have to put the display back together to a point i can check the 24v. i read the link about checking the...

    budm,
I will check the fuse. I have already checked the ohms on the 3 marked and each was in the 68 range. I will clean the glues and repost photos. Would closeups of those areas serve you better?
    Thanks.

The monitor presents just as the one from the 2011 thread. The power button blinks when the computer is off, as it should, and glows solid when the computer is on. I run 3 monitors on my desk and this is my center, main one. When booted up, the mouse will roll from my left monitor to the far right monitor, through the center (blacked out) monitor just like it is there, but screen is black. The flashlight test produced nothing.
Can you instruct the proper way for me to post pictures to the blog? I have excellent Nikon photos of the three boards,...

Hello to All, I am a new user, so please excuse me as i get acquainted with the Blog. I am a general contractor, so usually when something breaks around me i use a hammer to fix it, and if that doesn't work, i get a bigger hammer! so, now you know what you are facing.
I have the same problem that i found in this blog with the same monitor. i performed all the steps that were prescribed here, but when i got to the 3 capacitors, they checked the correct ohms on the meter. i am sure it is probably another one, but i am not an electronics guy, but...

Guys, I am a new member who is not a teckie. I wish i understood more of what most of you do or are good at, but i probably know enough to be dangerous!
I am here becasue I am loking for help with a Samsung Monitor that blipped. I went through the July 2011 posts about the same problem i had with my 245bw monitor and i went inside and tested the capicitors shown, but they are reading the normal prescribed ohmage. now i would like to know more about fixing this thing. hard to throw this thing away when it may only be a...
