Here's a quick rundown, I've done tons of research on this but haven't found the answer I need yet. So I put it to you guys to see if you may have an answer for me.

I have a JVC LT40X887 TV that had an issue with the power supply and needed the transformer reflowed. So unfortunately I tested it with the back off, and you guessed it. I was booby'd. So now of course every thing is all buttoned up and the TV is fixed but, you guessed it, HDMI's aren't working. So I researched and found I need to reset the hdmi's via self check in the service menu. Only problem is I don't have the original...

If I were to have to guess, From the ones I have worked on in the past. I would say panel, most likely the tabs are separating. Again, just a guess. I have seen issues with TCon, and Main produce some funky distortions too. Further testing would be needed to confirm. But if you are buying tv's that need repairs. I would stay away from screens that look like that. IMO, good luck with it if you do.
