Re: Insignia N8-42P650A11 multiple clicks, will not power on
I didn't find any problems on the X-Main that I can tell. I have a new Y-main on the way, should be here Friday or Monday. I will post how it goes as soon as I know. Thanks again for your help on this... Fingers crossed.

Re: Insignia N8-42P650A11 multiple clicks, will not power on
Yes i did, and it does the same. And if nothing is plugged into the PSU, where is the bad load coming from? With both mains completely out of the equation, ribbon and power cables, it is still dropping, nothing plugged into the PSU but the mainboard.

Re: Insignia N8-42P650A11 multiple clicks, will not power on
I just did these tests, after disconnecting the x-main nothing changed and the Vs/Va still never go live. After disconnecting the y-main, the relay only clicks once and the set appears to stay on. However, the Vs/Va briefly provide proper voltage then start to rapidly decline after 2 or 3 seconds, eventually reaching 0.

Insignia N8-42P650A11 multiple clicks, will not power on
Hello all,
I have an Insignia plasma here that a friend asked me to take a look at. When I first received the set, it would power on, with audio (sometimes), the display would glow for a few seconds and then stay black with very slight green sparkles, it would stay like this indefinitely. I figured the sparkles were a voltage problem, which I would worry about later on, those along with the display priming at start up made me pretty certain the sustain board was working. I figured I was dealing with a mainboard fault. (I've worked on two Samsungs with the same issue, both were mainboard...Last edited by dapiz987; 08-16-2013, 12:18 PM.
