Re: Philips 42PFL3605H/12 Power on and off cycle
Hi Guys,
Replaced both D921 ans D922 ,replaced U753 on SSB and still no lack.
Added a 0.1uF across IC804 and that stopped the buzzing on the T802 (inverter).
I am attaching the service manual maybe someone can see something i cant?
voltages are ok 5-> 5.3
12->12.03
24->25.6
If i turn the TV on and then power it off from the power button i do have the 5v with no issues. any help will be very much appr...

Philips 42PFL3605H/12 Power on and off cycle
Hi Guys,
I need your help with my TV. So far I replaced Caps on both boards(even when tested good - used atlas ESR), Checked PSU transformers with blue ring tester, Check all diodes, resistors and mosfets with Atlas DCA pro, But I cannot find anything wrong with this PSU. When I plug the power and turn the TV on it will stay on for about 1 min then it will shut itself off and then after about 30 seconds it will turn on and then shut off again. Checked regulators on main board also fine. I think it's the PSU since I am getting a buzzing sound where the inverter is.....Any ideas and...Last edited by g3org3; 11-26-2015, 02:42 PM.

Re: About test equipment that i needed
I guess you need the right tool for the right job. In electronics you can do most checks with a dmm. ESR meters and transistor/mosfet . ring testers are not necessary but make the job faster and easier with more accurate readings...

Equipment that you regret buying
what the title says :-) have you ever bought something that you regret the day you got it? For me the Uni-T 803. The accuracy of the unit is a joke... total junk...

Re: Any opinions about the latest JBC soldering stations ?
Spanish transformers are not good? Chinese are better? :-) Only joking. You asked for an opinion and I gave you one... I had the funds, I bought it and I am happy with it.... Price wise comparing to all major brands (Hakko - Ersa - Weller) I do not see a difference. Why does it matter where it's made from, when these days you can even get a Chinese product that is high quality (no offence to the Chinese members)

Re: Any opinions about the latest JBC soldering stations ?
Not a proven specific model (CD2BC) yes.. but JBC is out there for a few decades (80 years) with very positive remarks... used by a lot of professionals . For cartridges you can get a nice price when you use eBay... and trust me I can disorder most SMD staff much faster than I do with my hot air station. Do a search on the net.. I have not yet found a negative feedback for JBC CD2BC or CD2BB. The way I see it, at the end of the day you get what you pay for...Last edited by g3org3; 10-15-2013, 11:12 AM.

Re: Any opinions about the latest JBC soldering stations ?
got the station as soon as it was released (cd2bc) 4~5 months ago. I did solder some big crock clips (jump start ones ) using leaded solder...
It really depends on the tips (cartridges) you are using. There is no comparison at least with the Weller( 80watt) or Hakko 936 I also own. The nice thing about this station is that it can keep the temp you set it to. I use it on multilayer boards (laptop m/b ) and works very nice. The t245 handle is the best option for this specific compact station. If I was going to buy...
