Re: Magnavox 47mf power supply issues
Couple pix. I tried unhooking all the leads to the power supply and turning it on, but found out the switch goes through what I think is the tuner board part number dlh715t2303-3 photo attached. So i couldn't disconnect it and power up. so i looked at it. On that board I found 1 budged cap and one broken open. I figure that can't be helping things. So I guess I should replace those next as they are either bad or going bad.
I tried testing some of the caps that we pulled out with my ohm meter but the just flash a value the goes...

Re: Magnavox 47mf power supply issues
I am back to this, I know it sucks helping guys like me who know nothing, but I appriciate what you have. I ordered the kit from here http://lcdalternatives.com/MAGNAVOX-47mf437b37-LCD-TV-Repair-Kit-Capacitors-Only-Not-the-Entire-Board-P2372151.aspx
It replaced 6 caps but there are more on the board. The 3 large ones were definitely budged but the other 3 looked ok. I am back to the same problem after the new caps. Any suggestions where to go next?Re: Magnavox 47mf power supply issue... back to this,

Re: Magnavox 47mf power supply issues
I did, not sure if I stink at searching, but all I could find with a final solution for the chirping symptom is the 37mf. Thanks for the reply.

Magnavox 47mf power supply issues
I own a magnavox 47mf series television. It attempts to power on but fails to do so and a chirping is heard. Green light on the front as if the tv thinks it is on.
I ordered a kit off the Internet for the power supply. It came with 5 caps, but I am concerned it is not a complete kit. I would like to fix any known issues as I go if possible. What all should be replaced on this board to avoid a tear down in the near future?

Re: Magnavox LCD 37mf437/37 chirping
I was going to start a new thread but don't have permission. Same tv 47mf437b/37 chirping when it should be powering up, might get a touch of sound or a few seconds of backlight before it stops trying.
I have read several threads where several different caps were changed but none where it concludes that this was a specific part. I am just trying to narrow it down. I would buy a replacement board, but the only ones I can find are 350.00.
I can solder and replace caps, but I am not much use with a multi meter. Not...
