Re: Eeprom dump thread!
I have a couple of questions I hope someone might answer. Can the eeprom be read and written too while still on the board or does it have to be removed from the board? Also what blank eeprom chip numbers do we need to keep to be able to program them? Thanks so much for any advice....

Re: Emerson LC320EM2 No power after Kit Replacement
After much frustration over the repair of these boards I finally took Paulstef advice and replaced R608 with the correct .18 2watt resistor and now all my sets that were dogs have been repaired. The value of this resistor is critical as the resistor I had used to replace it with was 1.8 ohms and did not work. Thanks again for everyones help and especially you Paul for making me see the light.

Re: Emerson LC320EM2 No power after Kit Replacement
I always find D640 on the bottom of the circuit board shorted. Then Q600 and Q601 next are an automatic replacement if D640 has shorted. Also several zeners need to be replaced. Most of the power supplies have been repairable, but I still have 2 that are Dogs!
I still have not found the problem with the 2 power supplies that are trying to start with the previous voltages listed. Thanks for any help. Maybe someone will find the cure.

EMERSON LE320EM3 Power Supply Problems
I just can not seem to get away from defective power supplies in Emerson/Funai branded Tvs. Anyone have a schematic for Emerson LE320EM3 or know the value of Q501 and R501 in the power supply. The board is a A21F1MPW. Thanks very much.

Re: Capacitor question
The difference in the two capacitors is one is rated at 85 degrees centigrade and the other is 105 degrees. You could use the higher rated cap to replace the 85 degree one, but not the other way around in my opinion.

Re: Emerson LC320EM2 No power after Kit Replacement
R608 was changed and I replaced it with a 1.8 ohm resistor. I think I have seen different size resistors in different sets. I didn't have a .68 ohm at the time. R608 is ok. I also replaced D640 in the secondary and that was all that was replaced in the secondary. In the primary side..IC601, Q600, Q601, R608 and D610. All other components tested good. Thanks again for your help, I appreciate it so much!!!
