I have the 47" version of this TV that has the same problems you describe. Just out of curiosity, with your old board out of the TV, did you ohm/continuity check the fuses?

My problem started yesterday when the image on the screen went wacky. Rainbow colored vertical strips vertically through the video. The video itself was sorta negative image looking. It had done this once in the past but turning it off and back on again fixed it. This time...
