I have a Samsung soundbar (HT-WS1G/XEF) here that goes into standby mode almost immediately after turning it on. I've only ever had it work once which was when I first obtained it and I tested both the Toslink and the analog input which seemed to work fine at the time.

Opened it up by removing 12 screws, checked out the components with my limited understanding (tested some of the diodes and mosfets I could get to, checked the caps and looked for other obvious signs of damage) but I haven't the foggiest as to why it goes back into standby mode almost immediately....

A private message brought me here. I've been lurking the forum for quite a while (hence the name), it has helped me fix quite a few computer related-problems but now I I'd like to ask a question regarding fixing a vacuum cleaner AC power supply and I am wondering if that is allowed too.
