Re: Vizio XVT473SV Back Light On, Sound On, No display
I replaced the Main Board and it works like a charm.
I replaced the T-panel at first but that did not work.

Re: Vizio XVT473SV Back Light On, Sound On, No display
I did not hear the squealing sound since the first time it died, it was almost like a click / squeal as the screen flickered.
I tried powering it on with just one of the top cables / flipped it and the same thing occurs. Screen is bright (no vizio boot logo) and then it gets slightly darker.

Re: Vizio XVT473SV Back Light On, Sound On, No display
Fired up the TV today to check it out and I got it to work...for about 5 minutes. The back light is still working (that means the inverter is good, right?).
When I take the power cable feeding into the t con board out, the screen does get lighter
Trying to figure out what board I need to replace. I feel like it is related to the Tcon board (or the main board output into it) but I want to be sure before purchasing it.

When I turn the TV back on, the VIZIO logo turns on, the screen goes through its normal boot cycle, and then it darkens slightly. I can hear the sound of the input and can tell the remote is working (can hear channels change and can power on and off the...Last edited by gagneba; 06-29-2013, 08:48 PM.
