Re: LG- 42LK450-UB.CUSY.LH Snowy Display
ok I can bring up the password screen. I used the IR LED attached to my cell phone trick. 0000 or 1234 did not work...

Re: LG- 42LK450-UB.CUSY.LH Snowy Display
I have the factory remote, but I am still unable to access the service menu. I tried holding the remote menu button + TV menu for 10 seconds.

Can I access the service menu with an after market remote? I don't have the original.

Re: LG- 42LK450-UB.CUSY.LH Snowy Display
That is my thought too. The board with matching numbers was for a 42lk520 not a 42lk450.. If the factory reset suggested above doesn't work I will order another board and give it a shot. I also wondered about a firmware issue. This model came with either a VA or IPS screen...I am not knowledgeable enough to understand if that would be a factor....

Does that mean it could be the main board?

Re: LG- 42LK450-UB.CUSY.LH Snowy Display
Very bad picture, but it flashes off so fast its hard to catch it. But the LG and blank time are clear with a solid black background. Then the "no signal" animation starts with the snow..
Thank you for the help!...

LG- 42LK450-UB.CUSY.LH Snowy Display
History: I replaced the Main Board and Power Supply. The TV now powers up but the display, including menus, is snowy. I replaced the T-Con board and that had no effect. The power-up screen / time screen is clear which makes me think the screen is not damaged. Could I have gotten a wrong replacement main board? firmware? Any help will be appreciated.
Original Main board : EBU61369602
Replacement : EBR73308816...
