Re: wells gardner k7500 chassis 25" philips CRT jumpy
I switched the control boards and got same results and other unit was good, so the board is eliminated, but may be the horizontal hold circuit.

Re: wells gardner k7500 chassis 25" philips CRT jumpy
Finally had a chance to check it out. It does appear to reduce the jumpiness when I turn the adjustment all the way to the right and jet more jumpy when I turn all the way to left. I have two more of these games and I will try to switch the vontrol board to see if it improves. I think it just plugs in. If you have more suggestions mI would appreciate it. I'll let you know the results.

If by crawl you mean not not staying in frame, no. The picture is steady except for the horizontal spikes. It is very evident when in the adjustment mode with the grid. Vertical lines to have small spikes intermittently. Horizontal lines seem steady. I'll post some pictures perhaps you can point out the cap you are referring to. Not familiar with terminology of b+. wells gardner k7500 chassis 25" philips CRT jumpy
I am working on full size Midway arcade The Grid. Picture is hour glassed on left side and jumps to right horizontally. over all picture is good. I am considering recapping chassis but am not sure if this is best move. Chassis is still in unit. In have not worked on CRT before, but know how to safely discharge. Have repaired several LCDs and am pretty handy with most repairs. Looking for advise. Thanks.

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
I spoke with a local TV repair tech and he advised to check both sides of fuse to ground first. If Load side was not grounded The circuit should be OK and to test by shorting across to see if it worked. He said the Power supply has a rail system that protects the and would shut down. Not ideal, but after testing circuit, I was relatively confident I just had a blown fuse. I don't recommend shorting across the fuse as a initial test.
Thanks,

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
All,
Thanks. I shorted out the fuse and the back-light came on and TV works! I'll get a Pico fuse on Monday and all should be good.

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
Again, referring to 3rd picture, the third from top component labeled CMO appears to have discolored. You can see the rings on the input side. Is this a replaceable component? Is this the inverter? Would this cause fuse to blow? Also, where is a source to get a on-board fuse? Or can I use a different style. Board reads .75A/76V.
Thanks-Kevin

Found F5 (labeled 15) just to right of 2nd cap from top. see 3rd picture. No continuity.

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
Here are the pictures. It was not as bad as I thought. It is CMO. I will look for fuse. Also included picture of main board and cable to inverter connector ribbon cable. on/off is top pin on board and right pin on main board....

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
Is this what you need to see? When you refer to inverter board is it the Power supply or another board?...

Re: Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
No load. 24 Volts Volts good. The 12v is in ribbon cable with 5v and on pin to main board. 12v is marked on main board, not power supply. attached a couple of pictures....

Insignia NS-32LCD voltage reading 12vdc
I need to verify correct output voltage for 12v. 5v and 24v outputs correct. 12v reads 16.7v. Symptom is no pic. I can see white noise on screen with a flashlight. No back light. I don't Want to tear down any further until I confirm power supply is correct. There is a good thread on this, but the voltage question was not answered. Also any other thoughts or tests on correcting this are Appreciated. Thanks for any assistance. - Kevin
