bappies7 - Did you mange to get this tv working yet? I have an LC-60LE820UN that I think is having a power issue as well. When I plug the TV in, I get nothing. I'm thinking its a short on the power board, but can't seem to track it down. On your set, do you have any front panel indicators that tell you the set has power? One more question, How did you test IC7003 to determine there was a ground? Please forgive me for the novice question, I'm still learning. This is a nice (big) tv that would build my confidence if I can get it working. I bought it...

Did you ever find out what "common failures" are for this Main Board? I have the exact same board. When you plug the set in, the power light blinks orange for 15/20 seconds then goes solid. I then press the power button and the set turns on, but gets stuck on the "logo" screen. I've repaired several E series Vizio's with eeprom replacements, but I can't seem to find any pre-programmed ones for this Main Board.

I would start with replacing the 2 diodes ZD902 and ZD904. My experience was that D912 will test bad until these two are replaced....

Thanks cheif0x. I ordered some from digikey and replaced both diodes. Backlight now turns on and working great! Now I don't have sound ! Son of a b!^ch!

I'm getting 12V to the speaker ports and the headphone jacks on PC and AV3 source work. I also tested the speakers on another device and they work and tried using a (known good) speaker, but I get nothing.

I used these troubleshooting steps from the service:

Did you get the diodes from radioshack? I'm kind of hesitant using them, but im in a time crunch. The customer is moving at the end of the weekend, so I need to parts quick.

Good Evening Everyone! I have a 42PFL5432D/37 with the "chirp" of death.

I have currently replaced the following on my power board
3 - 1000uf/35v caps
1 - 2200uf/16v cap
Diode - ZD904
Diode - ZD902
Diode - D912

The problem I am having is with D912. It is reading open (.000) in circuit, but reads .486 out of circuit. I can not find what is causing this issue. I am assuming something before the diode is causing it, but not sure what.

I am working on a KDL-46S4100 and have hit a wall. When I first started working on this tv, it had power, but no backlight, video or sound. All voltage coming from the power supply was correct, but there was not voltage at the t-con board, so I replaced the "A" board (main board).

After replacing the A board, the tv powered on with backlight and sound, but no video. There is voltage going to the t-con and to the panel, also after running the tv for a while, the t-con is heating up like its processing. So I thought the next logical step was to...
