Re: LG 26" LCDTV 26LC7R input problem
Problem solved. One setting I missed out is the picture mode. Changed to "Standard" instead of "Dynamic". Thanks tw2005.

LG 26" LCDTV 26LC7R input problem
Please advise any ideas to solve this problem which will be much appreciated.
The details of this TV is as follows:
LG LCD TV model 26LC7R-TB
Product code: 26LC7R-TB.ATCGLJD
Manufactured: November 2007.
The TV could not start up so I open it up and found 4 leaking caps as shown.
It was replaced by PANA caps.
Bad caps were from SAMWHA as follows:
680uF 35V 3pcs replaced by Pana FR equivalents.
3300uF 10V 1pc replaced by Pana FM equivalent.
The TV can now be started up easily but there is a new problem.

Re: SSD recommendations
HDD needs cache as much as 32mb in modern drives to work properly. Imagine if this cache is now increased to 128GB with all the mechanical parts thrown out. After doing all these, named it a SSD instead of a HDD.

Re: SCSI adapter.......
Hi Per Hansson, MXM,
Thanks for the welcome.
As commented by Per Hansson #6, using scsi through usb is not advisable from personal experience. At best, it is very buggy and slow. At times, it may not work, depending on OS.
Cheers,

Re: SCSI adapter.......
What you need is three items, fix it to your computer and you can see or download all the files from the scsi 80-pin server hot-swap hdd.
1) The scsi pci card refer here: http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/products/Controllers/Hardware/scsi/entry/ASC-29160LP/
2) The scsi internal cable with terminator refer here: http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/products/cables/cables/int_scsi/
3) This adaptor for 80 pins drive to 68pins cable.
from DX or other supplier.
Good Luck. Re:...
