Re: Philips 42" 42PFL5432D/37 power light no picture please help
I have read alot of the threads on the same tv set but most of them had voltage going to vbl mine only has 2.3v? Do you remember any of them that had a bad transformer? One side of T905 on pins 3,4,1,2. I read 389v pins 9,8,7. I read 0v. I thought that was where the 24v came from but might be wrong. I will test the two zenor diodes thanks...

Philips 42" 42PFL5432D/37 power light no picture please help
I have a red light when plugged in when button is pushed i get a green light.
No picture, I have tested all caps and replaced bad ones. Have replaced Q901 that tested bad and replaced D912 which was shorted. Fuse F901 which blew several times but is ok now. Replaced IC910 which had tested bad.
I don't have 24v to vbl. Is there a chance that transformer T905 is bad? I read .01 ohms to ground on legs 9,8,7. If anyone has a idea of what i should check next PLEASE let me know....

Philips 42PFL5432D no picture
I could really use a hand with my tv. I replaced a bad capcitor about 2 months ago and it worked fine until about 3wks ago and i have been trying to trouble shoot it. when i plug it in i get a red light and when i push the button i get a green light, if i push it again i get no light. In my attemp to trouble shoot the tv by reading the related posts here. I have replaced several bad caps, D912 shorted, Q901 tested bad IC910, and F901 several times.
When i measure the voltages for the inverter board i read VBL- 1.65V
I PWM .968V BLON- 3.29V. This is the same set as member allsmith...

Hi my name is Pat first timer here, from ks. Thanks for allowing me to join your forum. As you probably guess by now i have a problem with my Philips tv model 42PFL5432D. About 3 months ago i replaced a bad cap and the tv worked fine until now. So i went thru the power board and tested the caps and replaced the bad ones. Since then i have replaced D912 that was shorted and Fuse 901 and Q901 which tested bad. I get a red light when plugged in and turns green when turned on but i don't have picture. tested the board further I don't have 24v to BL_ON only about 3.3v traced the circuit back to T905...
