Hello everyone it's been 5 years about since I was last here. Damn how time Flys. My tv just blew up again this morning right when I sat down with my morning coffee. Not the best way to start my day. So I haven't look over the posts yet but this time I'm getting 8 blinks after turning the TV on it flickered then shut off. No popping sound so I don't think it's the sc board but the ss. I have some spare parts to try but need to figure out which board is really bad or if it's just dust collecting and...

IF i remove the 2 legs from the transistors should i get a proper reading from them? or do i have to remove them from the board completely?Leave a comment:

testing a dead board to see what happens.
update:
I replaced the resistor they keeps blowing out on the SC board. this board is the TNPA5335AJ. It blows out again then i get 6 blinks normally a dead board gives me 7 blinks.also had SC20 removed connected sc20 and powered up again after it blew and it sorta tries to and makes hissing zapping sounds even seen the Power LED light flash for a second. it powers down with 6 blinks like i said. my new SC board is in. Testing with multimeter. getting high numbers so its working but i dont want to hook it up

Same! im wondering if it was a ribbon cable but the only cable it would be is SC20 i always check the connections before power up. so the order of recent events goes like this if i wasn't clear enough.
1.TV blew out 7blinks
2. got parts from cracked screen TV off craigs list. guy gutted his whole tv.
3. Put only used sc board into tv didnt test SU/SD boards was a nub with this stuff.

having a huge problem. I think my A-board is blowing up resistors on my SC boards. I Had my TV working then i decided to swap my original A board back into the TV. after doing this R601 blew out seen in this image [url]http://oi44.tinypic.com/291lrbr.jpg[/url].
now i swapped back the working A board i had in there before and waiting for a new SC board to come in. I put it in today and powered the TV up with the Buffer boards removed and the jumper in sc50. i then decided to check a few things...Leave a comment:

Fixed my TV! seems like 1/4 SC boards worked and I had One SD board blown out of 2 sets. my original buffer boards never broke. But now i wish to figure out how to fix these 3 SC boards i have laying around. One im returning since i have 180 days.Leave a comment:

UPDATE:!!!!!! OK so i hooked up this TPNA5335AJ SC board to my TV and tested the same way tw2005 told me to do and i used the Jumper for testing. THE TV POWERED UP!!! Fans running both Green LEDs lid up on the SC and SS boards. everything was hooked up only thing i dont have connected and completely removed was the SD/SU Boards. Idk why my testing failed last time on this board but it seems to be compatible enough to not throw any codes. so what next.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the tips. I had an 8 blink before and i replaced the SS board but i also replaced the PSU boards which i dont think were a problem to begin with but i have spare parts to try out.

yes i did test with the jumper. the board isnt brand new its one i got from a online parts store. they have a warranty so im going to return it. i think alot of places dont test boards like they say they do. also do u keep the sc2 and sc20 cables hooked up for this test?Leave a comment:

UPDATE: Got another used SC board this time the same as original. still getting 7 blinks. went through the 2011Plasma.pdf posted on this thread. went to Slide 70 and followed the chart to where it says shuts off a blinks 7 times. I then isolated the SD/SU and get 7 blinks= DEAD SC again? tested the SU/SD boards they never made my MM beep. Should i test for voltages to the SC board?Leave a comment:

Ill also pass on a Sony xbr950 its way over prices and i personally will shoot any tv that gives me clouds. stick with plasma if u get a 5 year warranty.Leave a comment:

watching tv in dark rooms is bad for your eyes now? never heard of that before. ive heard reflections can make u drowsy. watching tv to long in general is bad lets leave it at that.Leave a comment:
