I have an older 20'' LG LCD (L204WT - SF) that started to have troubles powering up last week until it finally wouldn't turn on at all. I disassembled the monitor to have a look at the capacitors - I expected to see some of them leaked or otherwise visibly damaged, but that doesn't seem to be the case. As this is my first time dealing with capacitors, I would like to ask you to tell me whether they appear to you to be bulged and thus likely the source of the problem. They do appear bulged to me but I'm willing to admit that it could just be a case of wishful seeing.
