Re: Samsung TV Whoas
So am I SOL?
Any way to test the color wheel (still original) ? or the main board?

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
ok. I'll check it out.
But if the TV came up, would it not make that music indicating it's running? I don't get that far.

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
Thanks Tom, Unfortunately all the connections on the back of my TV are output.
Any chance it could be the lamp hour meter? what is the max and would it be a similar problem?

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
First off I want to thank everyone for all their help.
I have replaced the caps on the power board, and did a continuity test prior to installing the board to ensure all my solder joints where good.
Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble, and I am to blame since I don't think I gave enough information.
My original message stated that the TV took a while to boot up, but after the TV went TU, I neglected to mention that I could see the lamp still turn on but the Green light would continue to flash.
After replacing...

Thanks!
BTW, I noticed some of the caps are higher voltage than others, and on my board they're all the same. Where do the higher voltages go?

Thanks kb!
Sounds like you've done this once or twice.
Do you have a source for parts? What should my BOM look like?

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
Ok, it is the last on, I followed the power cable and pulled it then did an image search and came up with the exact item. So How far from the capacitive rating is ok. For example I have a 1000uf that's reading 1100. I won't even mention the 2200uf that are reading OL...

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
Figured I would try to reset the TV. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and all of a sudden it started working.
Does this indicate a different problem or do I still need to tear into it?

Re: Samsung TV Whoas
Thanks Tom,
Is there a cheat sheet on where they are? and do they just plug in / plug out or do I need to solder?

Samsung TV Whoas
Hi all,
I have a 67" DLP samsung TV that I bought from Costco several years ago.
I've replaced the bulb several times.
This time something odd started to happen.
Initially, the standby light would flash and it would just take a little longer to get a picture. Then it was up to 2 minute, and now there is no picture at all.
The standby light just flashes.
Any ideas what may cause this?
Thanks
