    Im not sure of the details but I do not believe it was plugged into a surge protector. I found a replacement board on ebay for a price that im willing to pay (link below), and I also will link to a site showing the inverter board (the other board you requested) as well as some pictures of the inverter board on my tv set. I want to purchase the one off of ebay but only if it will solve the problem, i.e. is it possible the inverter board was messed up too? im not really sure how extensive the damage would be or if it was just stopped...

  • Trouble fixing a Phillips LCD TV's powersupply

    I was given a Phillips LCD 32" Television that had been hit with a lightning strike power surge and no longer works (model # 32PFL3506/F7). I opened it up and found a blown fuse that I replaced, but it kept blowing when it was plugged in. I did some research on the internet and did some multi-meter tests and found that the diodes and the mosfet were dead so I ordered new ones and replaced them (shown in the pictures). I put in a new fuse and re-plugged it in and the fuse burned out instantly and the diodes I replaced were fried. At this point I don't know what to do and would appreciate any...
