• Re: Repair of 404652HHC8LV1.8 T-CON board

Hi James, we meet here too ^^
Anyway, I measured the voltages on every point with the flat detached and they differ on a matter of hundredth of volt.
Instead, on that capacitors that I measured and that I pointed in the picture I posted on the other forum (cd141 cd142 cd144 and cd149) the voltage goes up of some hundredth to tenth of volt.
Anyway, Yanleb, can you help me confront measures, please?...

Hi Yanleb, thank you very much for answering me.
I know my problem is completely different to yours, but I give it a shot, since I'm wandering around blind, not having info to what to do and/or what to check.
I see that you got your information and a way to fix your problem, while checking the presumably correct values on those test points.
Thanks also for the tip of what to search online, I just got it, I hope it would help me.
About the latest hints, I checked the VDD and the AVDD test points on the top boards...

• Re: Repair of 404652HHC8LV1.8 T-CON board

Hi.
I have a Sony kdl-52x3500 with the same tcon, and the tv-set has a weird issue: the right half of the image is brighter than the left side (see picture).
I measured the same points on the tcon and these are the voltages:

Cg7: 0,252v
Cg6: 6,73v
Cg5: 8,47v
Cg4: 14,97v
Where can I measure the 16v input?
Btw, I tried to measure the resistances on the back of the tcon board and the 10kΩ measured kinda 6,7kΩ but onboard, not desoldered, and the 390Ω more or less 384~Ω, still...

• Sony KDL-52X3500 half brighter image

Hello. A friend gave me this old piece of behemoth (it "only" weighs 49 kg).
The problem is as shown in the attachment: the right part is more bright than the left part.
I guess that's the T-Con that's somekind faulty, I found lightly different voltages between the left lcd electronic board and the right one on the VDD and AVDD test points.
The T-Con is a 404652HHC8LV1.8.
Googling around I found that in this forum there's someone that already dealed with this same T-Con, but for a different problem (if I hadn't misunderstood). This is the thread I'm referring...

Sorry, I forgot to write that it's a Gigabyte mobo, but now I can't modify the post anymore.

• GA-8IK1100 (Rev. 2.x) sudden shutdown

Good day, fellow bad-recappers
I got this other socket 478 based on intel 875p chipset that works quite good except for a weird issue.
The matter is that this board, after booting whatever m$ os I install, tends to shut down all of a sudden, but in the sense of pulling the power cord, not the normal OS shut down.
I managed to get how to reproduce the issue manually with an utility, RMAClock, that is not so necessary, but it happens also when updating the antivirus, a Kaspersky 2013.
The bad behaviour happen more likely when the board have 1 gb single channeled, but when...

• Re: Asus P4P800-SE no boot no beep chipset warm/hot

Yeah, I see and agree. Maybe next time I'd try the oven trick unsoldering the caps first. Now I hope to fix the board just recapping it...

Nope, I let it cool down before remounting it in the cabinet.

Yeah, now I don't remember very well, but maybe I already tried to do that. Anyway one more time wouldn't hurt, even tho I thought that the heatsink spring/clip is strong enough to push over the northbridge.

Well, I hope to find a cheap recapping kit because...

Well, in any case, it would be great for me to fix the motherboard just by replacing the caps.

I set my oven to ~200 °C, but I can't be so sure about the real temperature since it doesn't have a termometer.
In any case I did it for more ore less 10 minutes. Ah, btw, I used gas fire, not the electrical grill, and now comes to my mind that gas fire makes lots of humidity (moisture? I don't know what's the appropriate term in this case ^^).

Well, ok, maybe it's like that,...

Yes it is that chip, even though mine is called Vitesse.
Here are the pics I could take:...

• Re: Epox 8rda6+ pro no more ethernet

I see, thank you.
In any case lan boot is normally off. I tried switching it on on the bios and alternatively hitting f11 (if i recall correctly) for choosing boot device: both showed me a message that there wasn't any network boot device, while normally, as far as i can remember, when those options are choosed they show me a different message, with technical data running and such things.
I hoped to find someone that knew this motherboard or at least where and what to check, with, like, a multimeter or something else.

The network boot is ALWAYS off, I said that I tried it but it meant that it was ONCE.
And, btw, if the network boot says to me that there isn't any device, what do you think?
And what does it matter, btw?

• Epox 8rda6+ pro no more ethernet

Hello.
Third post here XD (Ok, I'll stop counting :P)

Ok, I have this Epox motherboard that I had given to a friend for let him use until he got a new laptop.
But after he gave me back my motherboard, I tried it and I found that the integrated ethernet card don't work anymore. It seems that a lightning hit the phone cable (unluckily we have most of the last mile cable on poles ) and the ADSL router, broking only the power supply of this one, but my friend claims that at that time the computer wasn't plugged to the router, so in any case I can't know what was the cause...

• Asus P4P800-SE no boot no beep chipset warm/hot

Hello.
I guess this is my second post here.
Anyway, I need some help.
I bought this used motherboard for replacing another one (same model) of a friend that was T.F.U. and thrown away.
Now the story of what happened when it arrived.
First time I tried it, it was on a testing cabinet and it booted correctly, so I switched it off and took off to install it on the friend's rig, but after installing it there, it wouldn't want to boot anymore, no matter what I tried: changing cpu (tried Prescott single thread and ht, Northwood 2.0A and 2.4GHz and a Willamette 1.7),...

• Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hi there.
I'm from Italy, I already repaired some badcapped motherboards, some successfully, some not, and some half and half (worked until they died for something else ).
Now I need to fix a non-badcapped Asus P4P800-SE, so I hope to get some help here
