Re: Can you help identify this cap?
ohhhh! im glad you guys know ur stuff. I thought the cap was for the backlight as from a very tight angle (before the fix) i could see the screens fuzzy background.
Hopefully these caps will arrive sat and i can complete the repair.. for now its staying off till they are changed. Dont want to do more damage to it.
BTW i got the TV for free a week ago from a friend at work, he said if u can fix it, sell it and keep the cash lol
What u wreckon its gonna be worth? i dont need it i have a 50" downstairs...

Re: Can you help identify this cap?
you'd hate to know that it lasted a few hours constantly on using the hdmi input. and it got turned on and off about 30 times lol
The board says 97v on it... so doesnt that mean their is no more than that much running through the board?...

Re: Can you help identify this cap?
lmao, thanks for the info guys.
Firstly i got inpatient lol.. i went down to Maplins and they have somthing that they said is reletivly the same their part number is WX49 so i brought it (just the one) and bingo its working like a charm!!!
Yes this guy was a proper cowboy... he even has his tools all over the TV backplate... i was cringing. It took him a good 5 mins in the back of his van to find the 2 caps to stick in and yet again my suspicions were right... he would have took this tv away, replaces the bad ceramic...

The Board is Hansol and the code BN44-00134A Rev 1.5

I contacted Samsung and they sent an engineer to me for free, and he replaced the 2 large Capacitors 1000uF 25v with 1000uF 35v and the tv still doesnt work, he said it needs a new board... I THINK OTHERWISE!!
There is one he didnt replace (maybe he would after...
