I have gone through the forums and tried a bunch of things that others had posted. I am hoping some one can point me into the right direction.

[B]Original symptoms.[/B]
press the power button you can hear the relay click.
The LG logo illuminates white for a moment then fades out.

[B]Behind the back cover. [/B]
when Power button is pressed the red LED on the Main/Media board stays illuminated.
You can not turn the tv off with the power button. when using IR remote You hear the relay click OFF and the Red LED is no longer...

Did you ever fix your IC Number on DPS-286 AP/RDENCA336WJQZ Sharp power board?

I have the same exact problem. Was there anything else wrong on your board?

hijodalgo, I was wondering if you ever got your power supply working?
What part did you replace?
was there any thing else that was damaged as well?
I had gotten this same issue where the IC had Blown apart.
I did replace with a TNY266 chip I had on hand, but it is higher than 5w. I think 15W.
after replacement power supply is still not turning on the set.
Should I order a tny264 for the 5w ?
What testing point should i look at...
