Re: samsung pn51d450 odd problem
Thats what I was thinking but I did remove the frame and inspect the edge of the glass, no signs of damage whatsoever.

samsung pn51d450 odd problem
Love the input on this forum, great work.
Need help, my samsung plasma picture went out. It has the dim/pixelated screen that is typical on a failed x-main board, but in addition it has a odd warped black area at the bottom of the screen. I replaced the x-main and the symptoms remain unchanged. I have thoroughly inspected the screen itself for damage and don't see any.
Anyone ever seen anything like this?...

Re: samsung pn51d450 x main
I have thoroughly looked over the panel and it seems to be fully intact. No damage that I can see. With gas leakage it would be correct to assume that the black area would grow?

Re: samsung pn51d450 x main
Would a faulty x main explain the black distortion on the lower part of the screen?
Any recommendations on where to purchase the board?
Thanks...Last edited by Nixpaints; 05-03-2013, 08:29 PM.

samsung pn51d450 x main
Hello,
I have a samsung plasma that is showing signs of a bad x main board. It has the typical pixelation/dim screen symptoms. When cold, half the screen is black, it slowly dissipates as it warms up but never fully goes away. The unusual symptom is that a black "hump" exists with no pixels on the bottom right of the picture approx 6" X 3" that distorts the picture immediately around it. I can t find anyone with a similar black "hump" symptom.
Ever seen this?
