Yes, I did install the cap polarity the right way. +/- ..!
I reconnected everything! And it WORKS GREAT! No more flickering! Comes on right away! Thank you guys for all your help!

Thanks, I have it apart again and checking. I did use the 100uf 50v caps on the logic board? But it should still show something on the screen,right?

Thank you..after putting it back together, there is NO video now at all? So I guess I screwed something up. It worked before, just had a flicker and would go out sometimes. Should have left it alone..Oh well.
I guess I have to buy a New monitor. The power on and off works great! just No picture or the Analog message in the middle of the screen.

Hi, I am sorry. Where did he answer this. The Digikey link shows a Regular Cap, Not low ESR? Is this OK.

OK, so if I use Low ESR all the time I am OK. I do not have the schematic for the HG281D monitor to tell me what caps are being used.

Hi, this is my 1st post. I have a similar power problem with my HG281D. It would boot up normal and sometime it would go black. The on/off switch would be non responsive, I would have to click it 5-10 time to get the piture back for a few seconds. It would go out again, I repeat the above and it would stay on. If I let it in yellow stand-by it would come on OK for a few days, maybe a week until the problem startes again.
