• Re: Seeking help on a Sharp TV

Thanks for your replay. I figured this is likely the problem and on ebay the mainboard cost >100$ and not worth it....

• Re: Seeking help on a Sharp TV

Thanks for your detailed instruction. Yesterday after I posted, I opened up the back panel and realized the main board and surrounding area are pretty oily. I guess some time ago the main board went through some overheating and melted the heat sink silicon on the back. I just dumped the TV back to trash where I found it in the first place. The price for a main board replacement is pretty high on ebay....

• Seeking help on a Sharp TV

Hi, I got a Sharp LC-48LE653U. Plug in, can see light coming up but no image and the power button not working (won't turn off the tv or turn it on).
So just wondering how to figure out this is the main board problem or PSU not supplying power to main board.
Thanks.

Just to update. I finally received the inverter board from the Chinese ebay store and now the monitor works. Thank all you guys very much for the helps.
One more thing, just found on ebay this inverter board is also available now for $20 from a US seller.

Thanks for both of you. What "keyword" shall I use to find a replacement on those website such as digikey.com or newark.com? The label on top of them is 1J.26061.001 4001R 613003

I checked the resistence, all six pairs are about 1060 ohms except the right most (ie the pair for the pin 5 as labelled) is 1389 ohms. Do you think this reading ok?
Thanks.

• Re: Dell 2007FPb cannot stay on

I did checking according to the post:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16231&highlight=2007fpb+transformer
The resistence between 5 and 6 is out of my multimeter reading range for all the three transformers, between 7 and 8 is something around 9 Milliion om for all three of the them. When I hook up all the four boards together and plug in the the inverter connector in to A,B,C,D separately, I could not see the screen was lit up after turn on the power. How to see the "lamp flash briefly"?

• Re: Dell 2007FPb cannot stay on

Sorry. I was away for a week from my office. I test the resistence of the yellow fuse by multimeter, seems to be OK. How to check the transformer? Should I put the four boards together and plug in? Thanks.

• Dell 2007FPb cannot stay on

I picked up a Dell 2007 FPb from someone else. Its symptom is after power on (press the on/off button), the initial Dell logo animation just shows up for less than half second and then black screen. The power led stay green and with flashlight at 45 degree I can't see any image. After reading a few threads about this monitor, I guess it is somewhere on the inverter board but could find any obvious defect part. So I took pictures for all the four boards and try to see whether expert here can give me some suggestion. Thanks a lot....
