Toshiba 46SL412U (no video, no sound)
Hi all, I will like some assistance with a problem I am receiving with a Toshiba, model number #46SL412U. I recently acquired a Toshiba television, no video and no sound. So obviously on assumptions, I though it was T-con board, so I ordered it and replaced it, still the same problem. A few weeks ago my friend lent his television same model as mine, so I said I will swap the boards to see what the problem is. The first thing I did was to swap the main input board. My friend television still work, mine didn't, same problem so I knew the main input board was good. The next step I did was to swap...

Hi all, I am new to this forum hoping to find some answers and some repairs tips about television or any sort of equipment, I am a D.I.Y and I also like to troubleshoot equipment's. Ok update i ordered the replacenment BOOSt Diode (31GF6) hope fully i should get it by the 15th of this month will keep u all posted.

Got a capacitance meter to read the big cap so will do that this afternoon and keep u all posted.

31GF6 is the same number i have on my diode which reads .43 on the meter what u think replace it ?

no its not i pulled all the diodes on the board and and tested all reads fine

Let me ask u something DP805 what is the replacement for that diode because i was getting .43 on the meter can i replace it with one with the same value as DP810 and DP804 which is IN5408?Last edited by brianr20v; 05-06-2013, 09:22 AM.

yes we use both 120v and 230V but most aplinences run at 120v and yes the stanby voltage is around 160V

don't have that a meter that could read that large of a cap at this time but will be getting one soon ordered an ESR meter....

when the backlight is on the voltage at CP815 is 312v,did some soldering at CM852 and CM876 was checking the caps.

ok well the backlights comes on some times now the TV actually turned on around twice when I put the connector back in after a while it switched on tried switching it of and on with the remote didn't come back on?

ok so I did some soldering on the power board and what u know the backlights are coming on now when I pull out the white connector but the TV still not powering up?
