Yes, when no video cable is connected, it displays the test pattern. But it should be on a black background....

Started with screen just being black. Backlight was still functioning as I could see it change when it was turned off. The first few times, I could turn it off, then back on again and it would work. The final time, it would show random black and white stripes that flickered in horizontal and vertical directions, then would go back to black. Last week after leaving it on, the screen came back on just with the test pattern (it was no longer connected to a computer), but the background was yellow, not black. This morning it is back to black. It will power on and off, sometimes it shows the white...
