Re: Fix for Benq FP737s 17" (Q7T3)
My FP737S has 2SJ598s in Q743 and Q 751.Is it ok to replace them with FU9024Ns?
All transformers resoldered.all 2SC5707s replaced and bulging caps done(nearly all of the 470uf 35v ones)

Re: BF6 Mosfets
Hi All
My Tualatin 1.3Ghz is on the BF6 with 1.50v at 1690Mhz.The mosfets now hot again as is the vcore controller chip(RC5058M)Although the Tualatin processor is quite cool easily cooled by a 1U coppper cooler. So the plan is to replace the remaining caps with 1500uf although I may try 2200uf as I already have some. Then see if the FDB7030Ls work. Then if so heatsink them and the controller chip and glue a fan to the back of the Friendtech FTK-Slot/Z to cool the whole lot.Its an old board accepted but a Tualatin running at 1.7Ghz is still a pretty good folding...

Re: BF6 Mosfets
And have found out that the other 2 mosfets(55N03LTs) are providing the 3.3v line so as Rainbow says its pushing it for 2 mofets to supply the current. Will replace all the caps and heatsink the mosfets with some airflow over them as well and will see if it can cope with it then.
Thanks for all that helped with info.

Hi Rainbow
So its basically not designed to supply the current the Tualatin core needs.

Re: BF6 Mosfets
HI Guys
Thanks for all the help and info.
Heres a link to a pic of the BF6 as I havent got a dig camera at the mo
http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/bf6/images/bf6.jpg
The blown caps are the three in front of the row of 12.EC10,EC11 and EC12.I'll replace them and then see what happens to the mosfets which are the 2 on the right of the atx connector.Im running at the mo in bios at 113Mhz fsb for 1470Mhz on 1.40v.Will possibly have to lower cap size as cant find 1500Uf 8mm andthose three are a bit tight on space.Can...

BF6 Mosfets
Hi All
Just picked up a BF6 with a few blown caps. There are 2 mosfets marked as 76129S next to the ATX connector and I cant find any datasheets for them. They are getting hot with a Tualatin 1.3 so I would like to upgrade them.Does anyone have any info about them?.Many thanks for any help.

Re: CEB703 replacement
Hiya PeteS
That should be ok then. Will heatsink them up.I can only conclude the originals cop it because the processor wants more amps that they can supply.

Re: CEB703 replacement
Hi
HAve checked them all,no pops or bulges but have enough Panasonic FCs and Rubycon ZLs lying around to change them all anyway.Hoping STB80NF03L mosfets woould be ok.80 Amp with Rds(on)0.004 ohms but dont know if its logic level compatible.Smiffy

Hi Rainbow
Yes it is Logic level.Having trouble sourcing it though so may have to look at something else.

Re: CEB703 replacement
Hi Rainbow
Ta for advice
RDs(on) on for the 703AL is 17 milli ohms at Vgs=10v and 30 milli ohms at Vgs 4.5v
On the 7030 it is 7 milli ohm at Vgs 10v and 10 milli ohm at Vgs 5v

CEB703 replacement
Hi All
I had a nice accident with a naff old ECS board.I overclocked a tualatin 1.3Ghz to 1.73Ghz but i think the current strain was to much for the regs and a CEB703(30v 40A) let go in a puff of smoke. As the cpu amazingly still works can I upgrade the CEB703s on my other two boards to something beefier, say FDB7030L.(30v 100A)
Thanks for any info
