Hi there! This is quite an impressive community. I found it by searching for solutions for my HP dv6's 1 blink error code and found a very useful post.

Wow, I feel really luck to have come across an active post dedicated to the same problem I just came down with. I have an HP dv6z-1100 (CTO) that has a blank screen and the 1-blink error code.

So, I should start with replacing the CPU? And if that doesn't work, then reflow the GPU? I don't have any know-how with computer hardware. Replacing the processor sounds doable, but I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable trying the reflow method.

If neither of these work, how can I get the data off of my hard drive? I am a student and need...
