Hello everyone,

I'm attempting to fix an apparent '2 seconds to black' issue with my Samsung LCD TV, the full model number is LA52A850S1FXXY. The TV was purchased in 2008 and is definitely out of warranty. After reading about some of the issues Samsung were having with capacitors, I called them regarding this issue but they don't want to know about it... after going through the usual reset, etc. process they referred me to a service centre here in Melbourne, Australia.

When I turn on the TV, I get picture for a moment (approx 1 second) and then the screen can only...
