  • Re: Samsung PN50A530s2fxza help

i have masters from mit in engineering yes i know that these tv can be dangerous. Thats how i diagnosis bad caps that do not are not busted tops. if you touch hot ground you cold and you get shocked theres leakage from a mos-fet or capacitor. if you touch a cap that shocks you its a leak in that circuit. You just have to figure out which one it is. fixed many a tv that way.

Sorry for you suck thing. I had just broke the screen on 50" panasonic plasma.

thanks for the help but i found out my problem. The heatsink I have circled there 2 fets attached to it that had broken solder joints. The one fet that is circled by it's self. Had broken joints. C102 on the back of the main board needing to be replaced. its a 10v 47 MIcrofarad smd cap. i used a electrolyte polarized can cap. Works prefect now.

Thanks for the help by seaching the the site. finding boards that match mine go from there.

Getting Help from individuals thanks for nothing, Ya'll suck.

  • Samsung PN50A530s2fxza help

im having problems with this tv. its driving me nuts.
cut it on i can hear the relay click, the light will flash blue 13 times in 1 second intervals.
the screen will crackle like its on.
i have had it up one time it went back out after about 15 mins.

i have upload a picture of the power board. if i hold the chassis of tv touch thed\ places circled in yellow. it will barely shock me. Like something is leaking to ground. i do have main with board where the capacitor at c102 needs to be replaced. so maybe tell what you think!!
the small transformer at the bottom...

I have this set lighting hit it. i have 2.01v on PS-on 0 on 5v, no other power.
    I have checked vasistor, replaced
bridge rectifier is good but the voltage jumps around on the + pin the pin right beside it only has 62v next one only has 59v.
The two main capacitors either have 62v or jumping. That's checking it on the hot ground.
No 5v across the hot line except to the ps-on.
When I try to trace the ps-on backwards voltage slowly dies before it gets to the optocoupler.

Checked the components in the rfi filter circuit all is good.
    fuse good...

  • Re: Sceptre 32" Flashing (Video)

whats wrong is your getting a voltage leakage along the backlight power rail most causes are from the 3pin schottky diodes. The base is not getting enough voltage to open the gate. also a capacitor could be leaking too. I get these problems a lot in my shop. haier, viore and sceptre is notorious for this, a leaking capacitor can only be checked for that with oscillator or a capacitor checker. they are about 60 buck for a good one.

  • Re: Viore LED42VF80 automatic turns itself off

hey i know this thread is almost a year old. I know what's wrong with the tv 's if you look at the power supply where the panel plugs in, the one between 4 two wire plugs and the sound on the upper right. the one in the middle makes the led back panel brighter, if you unplug it you wont no more problem with it but it will be darker i have no bulged caps, if you plug it back in it will start to flicker again, then go out. so i know its either a bad cap but i can't figure out which one. Or the tranformer. I am a repair tech viore.
