The caps that was put in was 3300uf 25v and they was obviously not the right sized caps for the board and im guessing not the correct rating, with the screen having problems after around 20 mins, I want to ensure the power board has the correct rated caps on so as to eliminate that as the problem....
Been given one of these, was a problem where after 20 mins screen starts to break up and eventually goes black. Asumed inverter or t-con board problem, after opening up appears some one else already had a go at fixing power board, some of caps have been replaced with wrong ones, im assuming this is whats causing problem. Until replaced with correct caps dont want to trouble shoot any further.
I would rather repair the power board than buy a replacement, Power board is EAX32268301/8 tried searching for the board diagrams but havent had any look, does any have any experience with...
I have the 42pg6010 clicking power board due to bad caps , after replacing caps I was experiencing same issue with light flashing then staying green with no picture, I changed the eeprom on main board and tv came back to life but when tuning in kept freezing at 100% and had to be unplugged, using firmware link above updated and tv is fully working again, Thanks for posting it
Re: Samsung PS43D490 clicking when powered on no display
The main board I was using to test was slightly different revision to the original, same model number BN41-01761A but was missing a bga chip and also a cable connector so was not suitable as a permanent solution was hoping to use that to repair the original main board, couldnt work out which was the eeprom, I have replaced one in past on a different tv which was on reverse of board but not so on this one, so I ordered a replacement main board of ebay hopefully it cures the issue, thrown more money on this set than I would...
Re: Samsung PS43D490 clicking when powered on no display
Sorry to hijack a thread, but having issues with same model, changed both x and y boards with replacements from ebay, still didnt switch on even though voltages seemed ok and all was huming with power, I bought similar set ( PS43D450A2W ) with a smashed screen but it is only 2d and not a 3d set, any how changed x and y board still wouldnt boot so I swapped out the mainboard and comes straight on, with it not being the correct revision main board I am loosing the 3d, my question is what could be the fault with the original...
All but 3 of the caps on power board were noticeably blown, reading on esr was still ok on remaining ones but replaced all as a precaution, used same brand as I have done in past for all other tvs I have repaired, Panasonic and Rubycon. Camera doesnt pick up the issue, it seems to be the white text or still images from the menu that stay on screen, it doesnt stay permanently and can not be seen from all angles, but square on to it can be seen by eye, also picture seems to be dark even with brightness on 100% and backlight on 10,...
I have a Samsung LE37R87BD tv has strange issue, firstly caps on power board was buldging so generall clicking on/off taking 20 mins to turn on. Replaced these and tv powers up as it should, but now Im noticing the text is staying on the screen and slowly goes away, also screen is darker than it was before the power issues, I was going to replace the T-con board and possibly the inverter, was just seeking a little advice before doing so as worst case maybe the panel going and dont wasnt to go to the expense of replacing boards if this is the case.
