I really need help finding a schematic for the model in the subject!!
I recently acquired this old (1980's pre-camcorder) portable VCR and camera combo unit. The portable VCR docks into a tabletop tuner unit to make it part of the whole TV system.
The status of the system is: I hit power, and the VCR unit flaSHES ON for one second and then drops back to off. I found one youtube video for disassembly with good detail on how all the interconnections for the boards work. I also downloaded the sam's VCR-208 book that covers this model, but NO SCHEMATICS were in the booklet!!...

Re: lg 60pz550-ua erratic horizontal pink lines over image
@nomoresonys point well taken! The set is my son-in-laws and he loves the plasma depth of contrast and screen speed for sports. Although the newer leds and OLED's are pushing the comparison. I think I can get the board reworked for about $80 - 90 US, so we'll see. But if it's more than that he will probably vote for a new TV. He has the LG 60 and a Samsung 60 mounted side by side so he doesn't miss a play! My daughter wanted him to trash both plasmas and buy one 75 inch 4K but I don't think he's going to comply!

You are all convincing me even more that it's the mainboard. I re-ran the logic board jumper test just to satisfy my sanity and same perfect result! So all other components are working fine. I am asking the original repair center for a refund and hopefully will be sending the board to Nick's TV in Arizona. This I what I get for trying to save a few bucks!!!

Re: lg 60pz550-ua erratic horizontal pink lines over image
Sure, worth a try but I don't see any physical indications for bad caps (no bulging, no leaking substance, etc). My next effort will be to apply a heat gun to the main board chip under the heat sink to see if the picture ever goes to normal. I am running out of ideas on this one!! I do have a scope so I may look for a more technical doc from LG that lists some acceptable waveforms for the main board....

Right, I agree. I am just going on his word that it worked. I am trying to eliminate any other Z-sus / Ysus possible cause that might result in something similar. I saw a number of posts on this model talking about "mal-discharge" with similar screen pictures. Not sure exactly what that term means.

Hello again old friends! I am perplexed with this set. The mainboard was reballed to fix the known issue of HDMI port loss. When it came back from service I reinstalled it and now have the attached image. The image is there but it looks to be some type of Z-sus problem. I have checked and rechecked and replaced the LVDT cable between the logic and main board with no luck. And yes, the inductors on both the Y-sus and z-sus have been re-soldered with clean new 60/40 material. All voltages match the panel label Vs=202, Va =55, Vzb = 110 (it was at 115 and was adjusted down) Vy = 180, and Vsc =150....

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
Well, yes and no. The original problem, "stuck in standby" was due to a bad flash chip / or bad code. The replacement with the shopjimmy chip appears to have solved the standby mode issue. The root issues appears to be a water infused panel that caused the Andy Warhol effect IE: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=71773&highlight=water+panel ......Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now...n standby" was

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
So I need to close the loop for this issue. After much trial & error of removing the chip (no hot air rework system) I believe i damaged the original board. So my next attempt was buying an "almost" exact main board on eBay (Haier 55" 55D3550 MSAV3227-ZC01-01 2E.33002.D55). So as expected, this board got me back to square one, HOWEVER.. Andy Warhol was still stuck in the picture!! This prompted me to search here a bit more and found that Water Damaged panels can result in the same effect??? I picked this...

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
So just to be clear, there may be another issue in play here.... I did flash Diah's mod version to the shopjimmy chip still on the mainboard. Same exact result: stuck in standby. So at this point, I decided I should try to recover back to Andy Warhol baseline working version. So I reflashed my backup of the shopjimmy code that was partially working back to shopjimmy chip. Same result, now it is also stuck in standby! I am thinking the act of flashing in circuit may have blew something else on the board. I will do some diode...

Actually, the working chip (shopjimmy Andy Warhol mode) starts at much higher address than the original (bad standby lock) chip. I will repeat original process using your steps Diah....Last edited by smartjohn; 01-07-2019, 01:03 PM.

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
Yes, That will be my next try. I did try the freeze and re-read of the original chip and both versions were identical. Interesting note: the code in the shopjimmy chip does not start until #00002000 but when it starts it is virtually identical to my original chip code all the way to #001FFF0 !! from there only minor differences exists up to #00023880 when everything is different until #00423860 where it all syncs back the same...with a few minor diffs. Shopjimmy stops at #005E1F10 and original stops at #005E7AD0, From here...

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
Ok, so CH314a programmer arrived. Using this thing is a bit of a black art!! Many versions of the code for this bugger do not work!! So with Diah's version (above) I was able to read my salvaged 25Q64BSIG flash and save to a file (I did not freeze the chip prior to the read). The chip that is currently on the mainboard (from shopjimmy) is the version for the Haier LE39F3200. After many attempts (chip clip does not always connect) I was also able to read this code and also save it to a file. Rather than desolder the shopjimmy...

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
Shopjimmy does not offer eproms for my panel so no luck there!! I was lucky in that i salvaged the old eprom from the trash (to davi.p's point I may need another name!) I had accidentally threw it away while cleaning the bench off. Luckily I was able to sift thew my 30 gallon trash can and find the 8pin black spec still intact!! So CH314A chip reader is on order (with clip) plus 5 new 25q64bsig eproms. I will try the pin 5/6 reset in the meantime.Last edited by smartjohn; 12-27-2018, 08:38 AM.

Re: Haier LE55F32800 Standby but now Andy Warhol video!
Yeah, still stuck in aging mode after 10+ hours so I am guessing i'll need a code. I'll try the other approaches mentioned by nomoresonys and others. Also, you are correct, that is the same eprom i ordered from eBay/shopjimmy. But the sticker code on my board is 2e5e016d550xf31 so not a match with their original code (2DCB004D39). I will reach out to them and see if these two are compatible. vinceroger69 - any suggestions for how I could read the old eprom after freezing? I am pretty resourceful in that regard just need some...Last edited by smartjohn; 12-23-2018, 03:39 PM.
