Alright, after many attempts I've managed to get somewhat clear images of the boards, front and back. Not so much the connectors, but I'll see about adding info on those tomorrow morning. If need be I also have a service manual PDF I could attach.

And here comes a little bit of necroing. I've got the same monitor, Hanns G HG216D, with more or less the same problem. When I plug it in you can hear a high pitch sound coming from the power board, between the filter cap and the transformer. If I hit the turn on button, it blinks with more or less the same pattern , producing a few clicks, followed by a high pitched sound, and then rinse and repeat. All the while the tension on the on/off switch goes from 3-4v to 0 and back up. The screen tries to light up, blinks white for a half a second...
