Hello. I need some help to repair a SUA1500I, wicth i've burned because i was soldering battery terminals with the soldering iron connected on the mains, while ups was pluged and was on. |O
I've found that all the FETs are shorted and i've removed them, gate resistors burned and HIP4082I exploded. Also on the back side of the board one trace was burned. The HIP ic i understand that is the driver for the fets.
How can i test ic361-0015A, because the trace burned is on the other side of the board. What i mean, i want to take all the precautions when i put new transistors and new ic,...

You need a ESR meter. It's the best way to measure the internal resistance. You measure the capacitance but with a clasical multimeter you can't measure ESR.

I can buy a power supply like this for a couple of bucks, that is working. What is needed to be changed to be a realible power suplly in the future. The consume of the sistem is about 70-100W.

By changing parts i mean to change caps. Atfer the refurbisment i want that this PS last more longer.
