The laptop is fully working now. The only thing that's missing is the Service Tag/DMI info.

That makes sense. I'll wait for the clean file you've put together and give it a try. In the meantime, I'll order a replacement BIOS chip as well, just in case your suspicion about the original chip being faulty turns out to be correct. At least I'll have one ready if I need it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to look at it and for your help, I really appreciate it. I actually have five backups from the first time I read the BIOS chip, and they all compare as identical. I'll upload all five in about 20 minutes when I get home.
Just so you have the full history, the laptop originally powered on, briefly showed the Alienware logo, and would sometimes report the 3 red / 6 blue diagnostic code ("System BIOS Flash incomplete"), which is why I initially suspected a BIOS issue.

Probably corrupted bios. The laptop turns on, fans are spinning at high speeds, it reaches alienware logo and shuts down also sometimes it give LED error code 3 RED and 6 BLUE.

I bought a brand new chip, factory new with balls on it. Cleaned the pads on the motherboard and carefuly soldered it back. When using thermal camera the ec chip is getting warm and rails are pressent which makes me believe the soldering was a success. I will flash this bios from you and try again...Leave a comment:

If you refer to EC chip, its a NUVOTON NPCX993DA0BX_VFBGA144 chip.
I've been told that the EC firmware is in the same chip where bios is and that the EC chip doesn't need programming as it will read from there? I'm not sure if i understood correctly.

Thank you but i don't think its working. Now the power light comes on but nothing else. Under thermal camera the gpu and cpu remain cold. There is no display on internal display or external monitor.
With original bios i get 1e and 6b led error code. Now it just stays solid white but it doesnt even POST....Leave a comment:

I would prefer if you could find out the password so i can remove it, this way any other details remain untouched but if this is too much to ask or too hard to achieve i'm happy with a removed password bios too.

Thank you peste, i reprogrammed that kacn28ww bios, it now boots into bios and when i do F9 and then F10 to save i don't get the write protected errors anymore. But the laptop still freezes randomly and sometimes the screen turns black and restarts.
No overheating, thermal paste has been replaced.
Soldered ram is also fine because i did a memtest from usb and it lasted 3 hours and all 5 tests passed with 0 errors....Leave a comment:
