Hello Spithnk,
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about AliExpress and similar marketplaces. For small, low-risk stuff, it can be fine: cheap cables, basic adapters, screws, simple tools, phone cases, maybe even pots and pans, tablecloths or a Tahitian pareo. But for bigger or critical PC parts, I really wouldn’t trust it. GPUs, motherboards, PSUs, SSDs, batteries, or anything expensive are too risky, especially when you live far away and returns or warranty claims can turn into a nightmare.
The main issue isn’t just the price. It’s the uncertainty: fake parts, refurbished...

Where to buy PC parts when living in French Polynesia?
Hi everyone,
I live in French Polynesia and sourcing PC parts here is difficult. Local prices are often around 30% higher than in Europe or the US, sometimes more. Large retailers such as Amazon usually do not ship here, or shipping and customs make the final price unreasonable.
For people living in remote islands, overseas territories, or places with limited supply, where do you usually buy reliable PC parts, GPUs, motherboards, PSUs, capacitors, or repair components?
Any supplier that ships internationally to French Polynesia without insane costs?
