Wife said no to rework station so to keep peace in the family I got a T-Con board off ebay. TV now working great. Thanks for the help.

On my LN32A300 I had to remove the bar across the top of the LCD frame and then the cover just lifts off. I think the 330 and 300 are basically the same. My tv has a white screen that I am trying to solve.Leave a comment:

Not a technician just trying to learn to fix my TV. Any help appreciated. TV powers on normally and has good sound, but the display is white with a very dim hard to see image in the background. I have searched the forum for this model TV and it seems like the place to start is to clean and reset the ribbon cables, which I have done and no change. Next I have checked the voltages on the T-Con with these results.

Toshiba A205-S7468 Freezes
A205-S7468 Laptop
Windows 7 Ultimate
2 GB RAM
Motherboard: 6050A2109401-MB-A02
Freezes 3 or 4 minutes after power on, if the laptop is fully assembled. No difference if in Windows, BIOS setup or Live Linux CD, battery or Adapter or both. Thought it could be the OE128 Tokin so I replaced it with 4 330UF 2.5V 9mOHM capacitors. Made no difference.
With the keyboard, touchpad and palm rest panel removed the laptop runs and never freezes. Downloaded and installed Speccy and it reports these temps:
CPU 53 degrees C.
MB 52 degrees C.... -

Soldered the NEX dN8 chips on the board and reassembled the laptop. Power light, battery light on and fan runs but no post. Chips may not be right or bad. Am ordering new T520V337M2R5ATE009 chips to put on board.Leave a comment:

Thanks to all for the good info in this thread. I have read it from start to finish. I have A205-S7468 with the restart problem. I have removed the OE128 Tokin and have lifted 4 NEX dN8 chips from a salvage board. Before I solder them on my question for the experts is the voltage and ESR okay. I believe they are 330uF but I have not been able to determine the voltage. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.Leave a comment:

Hi, I just signed up to try to learn all I can about electronic repair. I am 80 years old and don't learn as fast as I used too, but you have to keep the old brain active! I really enjoy troubleshooting and repairing anything. I work on desktop and laptop computers, monitors and TV's that have been discarded. I have no formal training, just trial and error. I know I will receive much help from the forum and maybe I can help someone.
