Hi Stefan. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I will try this file as soon as I get my replacement SVOD. While unlocking some Dell laptops yesterday my current SVOD went faulty. Pin 1 and 8 stopped working when trying to do SPI flash. I noticed one of the mosfets had burnt out, so I replaced it and managed to get pin 1 to work again, but pin 8 is still not working. I am now waiting for a new SVOD, so I will try your file and give you some feedback as soon as it arrives.

Hi shiyab. Thanks for the response. I have just tried the file you sent, but still the same issue. I had a look at it in Hex editor and can see that you removed the bottom password block, but left the one further up present. I have tried this previously and I have also tried just removing the top password block only and leaving the bottom one present, but still the same problem....

I am trying to remove the SVP from a Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 2 (Intel) NM-D271, but when overwriting the the two password blocks with FF I get the error 0177:Bad SVP data, stop POST task and then the laptop turns off. I have only done one L14 Gen 2 previously and I successfully removed the SVP with no problems or errors. Hi Maxpower3. Thank you for the reply. I have just tried it with FF rather than 00, but unfortunately the MAC address is still showing as all FF. I will try doing a BIOS update like Sparo suggested to see if that fixes the problem. If you have any other suggestions then let me know and I'll try them. I have not tried a BIOS update yet. I will try that tomorrow and let you know if it works. I find it strange that removing the SVP is causing the MAC address to show as FF, but all the other DMI is displayed correctly. Out of all the Lenovo's I have unlocked, this is the only one with this issue.

Hi and thanks for the reply. The MAC address hasn't been touched at all, but it shows as all FF in the BIOS. I have Lenovo ThinkPad Config Information Update Utility v1.11 and have used a fair few times now and there is no option to add, read or delete MAC addresses. Only serial numbers, machine name, etc. I have removed SVPs from many other Lenovo laptops with success, but none of them stop showing the MAC address after overwriting the SVP block. I am trying to remove the password from this E15 Gen 2 and I have successfully modified the IT8227E-256 read to remove the password, however the MAC address is now not showing up in the BIOS. I cannot seem to get the BIOS to be password free and show the MAC address at the same time. The MAC address is 6C24080B45CB and is from offset 3B040 - 3B045.
