Hi, they are a bit awkward, the screen has to be totally stripped. The tubes are in a metal 'case' which slides/pulls off the screen edges. I came across a company in the USA, Omaha, that supplies 2 pairs of (Lg fitting) ccfl's, pre wired including the tube end insulators and plugs, about $30. Due to the amount of work/time involved I'm changing all 4 tubes.Leave a comment:

Hi, I have the same tv/monitor exhibiting the same symptoms. I changed the psu for a new one (China approx £18 inc delivery) this made no difference. I will test further now, but think the problem is in the bright/dim/on/off voltages from the motherboard, possibly a firmware glitch?
My voltages match yours on the psu 'ribbon' connector by the way.
