Re: Identify a component - Futaba S9550 servo
Thank you so much for your help.
Got the chip today and soldered it on, first time soldering a chip this small so it was a bit of a challenge.
Connected it to the rc car and it seems to work flawlessly but I wont be sure until I put it on the track....

Re: Identify a component - Futaba S9550 servo
Thanks for the response.
I've been trying to locate a spare but I'm unsure what I should look for in the datasheet to find a replacement.
I know the pinout has to be the same but how about the voltages, can it be higher?

Identify a component - Futaba S9550 servo
Hi, I've go a futaba S9550 servo with a burned component.
There is a similar one next to it with the marking "AI855 603" or "A1855 603" But the burned one is clearly "856"
Can someone tell me where I can get a replacement part?...

Re: d630
I need more to go on.
What diagnostics have you already done?
Is the charger ok?
Can you measure some voltage going to the battery?

Re: DC Jack replacement - tips?
I've started using Chipquick on all the dc jack replacements, and after that everything started working more smoothly.
I start by putting flux on the back of the board.
Adding ChipQuick with the iron on about 270-300°
Remove the Solder with solder wick.
On the connections that still have some solder in them I add fresh solder, put the iron to 350° and take it up with the de-soldering pump.
Most times I have to use small tweezers to yank it out.
I still usually do some damage...

Picking the right pcb preheater within budget.
Hi, I've wanted to try reballing for some time.
The only equipment I need at the moment is the bottom heater and something to measure the heat on the board.
I went on ebay but wasn't quite sure what I should look for in the specs.
Should I get one that monitors the heat on the board also or should I buy a different "unit" to monitor the heat.
How big heating area should I look for?
Budget is about 2-300$.
I was looking at [URL="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251203364169?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649"]High...

Re: I said i'll never try reballing...
What kind of bottom heater do you have?
I once tried this without one on a board with serious water damage to practice.
Guess I wasn't patient because I got bored and broke it off and killed the board even more
I've always wanted to do this the right way.

Re: Burned hp motherboard
I removed the cap.
Melted a bit on the side but doubt that it's defective (I would replace it if I can fix the other part)
Getting hard to clean it more than I have already done.
The burn marks won't go away....

Re: Burned hp motherboard
I think I just answered my own question.
Brushed off the dust.
Pretty sure I won't be able to repair this motherboard....

Burned hp motherboard
Hi,
My storage computer died on me with a bang.
When I opened it up at first, it looked like the power supply.
But when I got a closer look it turned out to be a burned chip on the motherboard.
Is it possible to repair this?
Motherboard : mcp61pm-hm Rev. 1.0b...
