Question on this.. wherein you see on the corners of this power supply.. the metal around the two mounting holes that have them, do you just ground these out, and turn the board over onto say.. an anti-static matt; in order to test the Zener w/ the VPS attached to the 1k resistor?...

I got one of these in because the SMD Micro usb fell off of it..
I've ordered some Micro Usb Female type B's but the notches on the bottom don't line up.
I contacted scosche and they said they can't tell me the part number, nor give me a service manual, but that if I had the receipt.. yada yada.
So.. here I am..
You can see the pads where the 'usb female' smd part is suppose to go. My problem is how do I find the exact right part? - Mike C. -

NS-WBRDVD3 Blue Ray DVD Blinking Blue LED, No Display issue
Hello.
I have a WBRDVD3 by Insignia. Here I found the problem.
These resistors were blown, what sux is they were so blown that I can't really make out what they say.. Can anyone knowing these parts better than I guess what these were? Or maybe if I gave a complete picture of the Board you can tell what the circuit would call for??
Also.. If you look closely you can see that I lifted the Pads from the board a little; is there any suggestions on how to fix this?...Last edited by Keshetisrael; 02-19-2014, 11:48 AM. -

Not going to believe this.. I talked to the guy that owned the TV after getting the powerboard and that wasn't it; he didn't want to fix it anymore feeling it would cost more than the TV is worth..
So.. I left it for a while then one day I opened it up again. I left it without the back on it for like two days, putting it in one of my computer chairs one night, the cat jumped up onto the chair in the middle of the night and the TV fell off the chair, right onto it's back!

I have a few Aluminum Electrolytic Caps, 'VS' is stamped on them. Anyone know where to find them? It's out of a Dynex LCD TV, on it's video mainboard.

I still have this LED 42 inch.. the Guy never came back to get it because I couldn't get it fixed. I bought both the video mainboard and the power board. The TV won't even turn on now. Re: Sceptre X32 stays on for about 10 minutes, then turns off.
I after reading posts here, I took to changing the caps closest to the power supply, the Large one was the most predominate one and close to the line in, so it was the first one I changed. TV works great now! It use to come on, flash the Sceptre Screen, and then go off within 5 seconds.

I took the video board off, checked the back of the board.. no blown problems visible..
Put the board back in, plugged everything back in, unplugged Tcon and then plugged it all back in.. Now I get the BackLight.. but I can't get Cable, or Menu to come up..Leave a comment:
