I've just tried flashing this and unfortunately still no luck. Still shows "***" on the firmware version with "Update Error 1" when trying to push update through USB. Was the firmware dump you attached from a working VSX-1021?

I have also tried the firmware dump for the VSX-2021/LSX-055 provided by andyb1712 in another thread on this forum but no luck with that one either. I'm starting to doubt whether the replacement DSP chip is actually working or properly installed with all solder contacts... Confirming whether the file you provided was from a working VSX-1021K...

dobrykamil Thanks for responding. I believe this is the same firmware that I found online which unfortunately does not work when trying to push the update through on my VSX-1021 (hangs at 20% and shows "Update Error 1". I should have clarified I am (or atleast think I am) after a dump of the firmware from a working unit, which should be from the chip IC9004 (being a MX25L1606E).

Do you think there is another way I can update or patch my firmware with the firmware file you attached?

Otherwise, hopefully someone else has a working unit and can dump the firmware...

I have a VSX-1021 that dropped the UE22 error on me and is no longer was working. I've then done the following:
1. Tried updating the firmware with a firmware I found online but it hangs at 20% and ultimately shows "Update Error 1". I didn't check prior to attempting the firmware upgrade but the firmware after shows "***" for the DSP numbers. This was before I looked online that pushing an update through with a bad DSP chip could corrupt the firmware.
2. Tried reflowing the original DSP chip (D810K013BZKB4000) but firmware version remains "***"...
